Skovgaard is five guest rooms on a farm on Albækvej outside Snejbjerg near Herning. No reception and no rush: you get a door code, let yourself in and have two hectares of nature around the house.

The house from the inside
Five rooms and the shared spaces
There are three double rooms and two single rooms, so eight guests can stay here at the same time. In a double room an extra bed can be made up for a child under 12. The toilets and showers are shared with the other guests, and there are two bathrooms.
The kitchenette has a fridge, a hob and an oven. There is a dining room and a lounge with books and films you are welcome to borrow. Final cleaning, bed linen and towels are included in the price. So are wifi and parking.

Everyday life on the farm
Your own door code
The access code arrives before you get here, so there are no keys to collect and no reception. Check-in is from 3pm, and the room must be vacated by 11am.
Shared kitchen and lounge
The kitchen, the dining room, the lounge and the bathrooms are shared with the other guests. Everyone therefore tidies up after themselves and washes up straight away, so the rooms are ready for the next guest.
Consideration for others
There must be quiet on the farm after 10pm, and smoking takes place outdoors. Dogs are welcome, but no more than one per room.

No. Breakfast is not part of the stay. There is a kitchenette with a fridge, a hob and an oven, where you can cook your own food. There is also a shared area with a dining table.
The farm is on Albækvej 48, 7400 Herning, a little outside Snejbjerg and nine kilometres from Herning town centre. It is a six minute drive to MCH Messecenter Herning and Boxen, 20 minutes to Baboon City and 30 minutes to Jyllands Park Zoo. A car is the easiest way to get around.
There is room for five cars at most, and parking is included in the price. Parking is at your own risk, and we ask everyone to park tidily, so there is room for the other guests as well.
